During the last few years, when we have gone on holiday ourselves, Sue & I have used World Nomads for our travel insurance needs. We have done this because they are set up specifically with the independent traveller in mind and we have found their cover to be extensive and good value. They seem to be very well respected judging from the comments on industry and travel blogs and articles we have found on the Internet.
For those of you interested in activity holidays you will find that the cover provided for action holidays is excellent and in our experience offers unrivalled value.
A sample of the cover they offer is included below. This was provided from World Nomads own online quotation sytem which we used to obtain a family quote for UK residents on 5th October 2009. If you use World Nomads then you MUST ensure any quote that you receive is as comprehensive and provides for your own specific needs. Please note that their policies, terms and underwriters vary depending on your country of residence.
